Theme
Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 9:26PM Tonight I am that kind of tired that leaves you aimless and wandering. That sort of listlessness that sends you to kitchen cabinets and refrigerator doors, looking for a quick fix-- a restlessness that deceives you into believing that there is comfort any where but that soft place of restoration that can only be brought by shutting down that conscious and letting the unconscious do some reorganizing. As I type this now I realize that all I really need to do tonight is allow myself to go to sleep and things will look better in the morning. After this post that is what I will do. And for this post I am going to following along a general theme I've been finding in the collective consciousness. Here are some things that are making me happy here lately:
- My beautifully bearded husband unclogged our shower drain last night so I can once again enjoy the difference hot running water makes on bleak cold days. It is incredible how much better something as simple as a shower can make one feel.
- Watching The Office and laughing out loud with said beautifully bearded husband, plus two warm snuggley pups (they don't laugh out loud so much as cuddle and snooze).
- Peanut butter and banana.
- Looking forward to a stitch & bitch gathering on Sunday!
- I, with the help of Jay, a very friendly technical support associate of at&t, successfully set up a wireless home network, now all three of our computers are on the internet. This means that we are going to be 100% more productive with Josh and I both being able to use a computer simultaneously. With both of our photography, my school, and Josh's music promotion it was very hard only having one computer online.
- The new addition to our computer family, my laptop, which is going to come in very handy with my new endeavors of online university.
- That tomorrow is a completely fresh day that I can shape however I want, that soon I will be asleep and healing in ways I could never do in my conscious life, and that I get to do that deep healing while sleeping next to the sweetest man I know.
